Set along the Geehi River within the Khancoban–Cabramurra section of Kosciuszko National Park, Geehi Horse Camp is a dedicated equestrian-friendly bush campground surrounded by open plains, snow gums, and alpine ridgelines. It’s about 30 km south of Khancoban, accessed via the Alpine Way.

Geehi is part of the ancestral lands of the Ngarigo people, who traditionally travelled through this alpine region during seasonal movements. The area has long been used for summer grazing, and later by stockmen and horse riders. Today, it remains a hotspot for equestrian treks, including the route toward Major Clews Hut and beyond.
