Mount Oxleyย is a prominent landform long significant to the Ngemba people, offering cultural and spiritual importance. The station itself has European pastoral history dating back to the 1800s, and remains family-run.

The summit was visited by explorer Charles Sturtย in the 1830s, and later used for surveying and communication in early NSW.
